Southern Granary is a locally owned wedding venue with a one-of-a-kind blend of industrial-rustic charm, set on 30 acres of meadows, trees, and riverfront in Altavista, Virginia, serving couples in the Lynchburg, Danville, and surrounding Central Virginia areas.
With lovely outdoor Meadow, Patio, and Inside ceremony options, a twinkle-light climate controlled reception space, and room for up to 200 guests, Southern Granary has been been hosting weddings and events since 2019.

In the 1950’s, farmers from all over the region would bring their grain harvest to be processed and stored at the grain mill here. Today, the huge building has been lovingly restored into a beautiful industrial event space called Southern Granary, with a brand new Bridal Suite & Groom’s Den, air conditioning throughout, catering kitchen, terraced patios, concrete floors and rustic wood accents handcrafted here on the property.
